Despite impressive advances in medicine and science over the last century, we have yet to figure out a way to completely halt the natural aging process. As our bodies age, most of us need some type of additional care and assistance. For some, that means long-term care in a nursing home, assisted living facility or home health care. The costs associated with long-term care can quickly deplete a lifetime of savings, making long-term care planning crucial.
